This week, Shannon wants to know about…
Your Companion Books
As in, a book that explains another book you have, not by the same author.
I have two of these. One, Before Green Gables, I really enjoyed. It explains Anne’s life before she turns up at Green Gables. I don’t know if any of it is accurate, but it broke my heart for poor Anne.
The other one, The Magical World of Harry Potter, I haven’t read yet. I don’t know if I’ll really enjoy it; it explains where Rowling got a lot of her ideas from. I’m worried that’ll ruin the magic a little. But still, it’s sitting in my pile, so I guess we’ll see
Have you got any companion books? Have you read either of mine? What did you think?
I actually don’t have any companion books; how sad is that? 😦

It’s hard to buy companion books when there are so many original books out there to be read 🙂

I like these companion books and I think they can be so interesting, especially to get some more insight to the characters, plot or world. I have read some companion books but funnily enough don’t own any. I mostly read those from the library!
