Stacking the Shelves

This is a meme hosted by Tygna’s Reviews, where we share what books we’ve got in the last week. I don’t do it often, since I’m trying not to buy too many books, but I had to this week

Stacking the Shelves

I got these books from the library:

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart. I really didn’t like this, so good thing it was free! I’ll be writing a review really really soon

Legend by Marie Lu. This one I loved. I mean, DAY ❤

Landline by Rainbow Rowell. I love Rowell, so I’m sure this will be good!

And these ones I got from the second hand book shop just around the corner from me! Every single book is half price, it’s like Christmas came early!!! It only cost me $30 for these five books, and if I got them new it’d be the same for one book! IT’S SO EXCITING!!!! 😀

Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman. Now I have the whole trilogy! All the covers even match!

Under the Covers by Marian Keyes. Yesssss, more Marian! I have almost a whole shelf at home dedicated to her, I thought I better have one more

Cloth Girl by Marilyn Heward Mills. It looks so interesting! A little heartbreaking, but I’ll manage

Ten Days to D-Day: Countdown to the Liberation of Europe by David Stafford. Historical fiction, it’s gotta be good

Cross Stitch (aka Outlander) by Diana Gabaldon. My mum adores this book. Apparently Jamie is the greatest man to walk the planet (and yes, she is still married to my dad!). So I thought I better read it, even though she’s paying me back!

Have any of you done a Stacking the Shelves this week? Send me a link if you have, and also tell me which book you think I should read first!
P.S. this is my 100th post, which is so exciting!!!

  1. I can see why you may have not liked We Were Liars. I gave it four stars, mostly because I’m insane and love it when a book screws with my mind. But I definitely agree with you on Legend! Such an AMAZING series!
I hope you enjoy your new books! I haven’t read any of them, so I can’t recommend any, but I still hope you enjoy them!

  2. I actually haven’t read Legend yet which is a shame because I’ve heard awesome things about it. I tend to stay away from books with hype, but I’ll make an exception for that series because it just seems so “me.” I haven’t heard of your other books, except for Landline [which is Adult, so not for me] but I hope you had a great week!

    1. I completely understand avoiding popular books. They can be so disappointing! I hope you like Legend if you do decide to read it! I don’t read much adult, but I’ve decided Rowell is worth it 🙂 Thanks!!
