Dear Blog Squad,
Well, first off thanks Em for the idea for this post, you da best.
Let’s be honest though, you’re all the best. You’re my favourite people in the whole wide world, and I really hope you know that. In the real world, there’s a limited amount of potential friends you can choose from. You find people in your classes, your groups, friends of friends. On the internet, your friend pool is limitless, and it means you find people you’d never regularly talk about. From England to the Netherlands to me in New Zealand, we’re scattered all over the world, and have somehow found this twitter group to bring us all together. If you don’t understand the amazingness of the internet, now you know.
These are the girls I can talk to about anything and everything. If that one person calls me pretty, I go to you to squeal. If I’m having a mental breakdown and need a good cry, you’re there to Apparate over and give me hugs. We help each other with blogging inspiration, share cute animals and cute people (I’m not kidding, there’s a separate chat dedicated just to that), and are just generally there for each other. You guys inspire me to become the best I can possibly be, whether that’s in blogging, in writing, or just in life in general. If I can be even half as good a friend as you all are, I’m doing fantastically. If I go more than a day without talking to one of you I go a little bit insane. It’s the first thing I do in the morning, and the last thing I do at night.
Sure, it hasn’t always been perfect, but every time we have a little bit of drama, we band together to help each other out. I’ve never felt like I wasn’t welcome there, or was being too annoying (because we embrace our annoyingness). Squad, I wanted to write this to let you know that I love each and every one of you. Even if you aren’t popping in as often as you want to, I still love you to bits. I couldn’t cope without you, and I hope you know that I know that I’m the luckiest girl ever to have you guys as my bestest friends.
Lots and lots and lots of love,
Victoria ❤ ❤
