Thanks so much to my bestie Michelle @ The Writing Hufflepuff for tagging me in this!
Phase One: Initial Attraction: A book you bought because of the cover
A Brief History of Montmoray is one that has really fantastic colours, but definitely not worth it. It was so disappointing!
Phase Two: First Impressions: A book you got because of the summary
Isn’t that really every book? The Reader is one that I have on my TBR, but I haven’t seen a single review for it yet, so I really have no idea what to expect!
Phase Three: Sweet Talk: A book with great writing
The entire Shatter Me trilogy. Honestly, the writing in this is so beautiful, and I know I go on about it all the time, but I just want to quote it all the time
Phase Four: First Date: A first book of a series which made you want to pursue the rest of the series
I know I read the Pretty Little Liars series really close to each other, although I’m far from being finished with that series.I very rarely read books one after the other in a series, so that’s actually a big deal for me!
Phase Five: Late night phone calls: A book that kept you up all night long
GONE GIRL. Not literally, because I need sleep, but I was watching my brother compete at nationals and I missed part of what he was doing because I just had to know what was about to happen
Phase Six: Always on my mind: A book that you could not stop thinking about
Can I say Gone Girl again? I’m still obsessed, and I don’t even care. Red Rising is one I couldn’t get out of my head either, although I don’t think I talked about it as much
Phase Seven: Getting Physical: A book in which you love the way it feels
Second hand paperbacks. There’s no one specific book, just books that smell good and feel like I can snuggle up in bed with them
Phase Eight: Meeting the Parents: A book in which you would recommend to your friends and family
My problem is I recommend stuff really specifically based on the person, because that’s how I tend to get to know a person, by working out what I think they’d like to read. The most recent book I recommended was Eleanor and Park (and she loved it, yuss!)
Phase Nine: Thinking about the future: A book or series that you know you’ll re-read many times in the future
Harry Potter, always. Can I ever not be reading this? How would I cope without it?
Phase Ten: Share the love! Here’s who I am tagging
- Lauren @ Always Me
- Claire @ Cover to Cover
- Rachel @ A Perfection Called Books
- Tessa @ Crazy for YA
- Inge @ Of Wonderland
- And any of you who want to do it!
Eleanor and Park has been on my TBR forever! I keep hearing how good it is 🙂 I haven’t read Gone Girl either because I made the mistake of watching the movie first.
