Exploring My Bookshelves (#32) – Guilty Pleasure Books

Exploring My Bookshelves is a weekly meme created over here at Addlepates and Book Nerds, and co-hosted with Shannon @ For the Love of Words. For more info on how it works, have a look here

This week, Shannon wants to know about…

UGH

Your Guilty Pleasure Books

As you probably know, I am a little obsessed with Marian Keyes. Anything she writes, I have to get my hands on. Okay, I don’t actually feel guilty about this; she’s amazing, what can I say?

wpid-20151009_114433.jpgThere’s also my collection of My Story books. I loved them as a child, which is fine. Except, even now, I like to re-read them sometimes. I have quite a few of them, and I’m really looking forward to doing a binge read of them. Yes, I am almost a grown woman. I should get over these…

So, what are your guilty pleasure books? Can you forgive me for mine?

  1. I’m currently re-reading a lot of my childhood novels so no shame there! I re-read a Series of Unfortunate Events a few months back, haha I think as I re-read those as I get older, the more I can’t relate to them sadly. But I really want to re-read my Judy Blume, Fudge books again! 🙂

  2. I think my guilty pleasure books would be the one or two new adult books that I have and LOVE. I usually dislike NA like crazy but there are one or two of them that go above and beyond in the NA genre by tying in themes of friendship, culture and so on very well. That would be Books, Blogging and Reality by Ryan Ringbloom and Variables of Love by MK Schiller. Brilliant books.
