Exploring My Bookshelves (#29)

Exploring My Bookshelves is a weekly meme created over here at Addlepates and Book Nerds. For more info on how it works, have a look here

Exploring My BookshelvesThis week I want to know…

A Book You Wrote Fanfiction About

You all did it, don’t lie to me. Or at least, you’ve sat and imagined alternate endings for your favourite characters, which is pretty much the same thing, just not on paper. I wrote A LOT. It was a dark time.

The ones I wrote the most about where the Marauders. Because, you know, they’re perfect. With my best friend, I wrote quite a bit of Artemis Fowl. And, of course, the terrible phase of my life where I liked Twilight. I know.

So, there are my answers! As usual, send me a link to your posts, or answer the question in the comments

I was a book blogger for a while, and I now blog about every little thing in life I can think of. Bear with me while I try all these new posts out... I'm a New Zealand teen who gets angry about the world (but not angry enough for tumblr). I like to capture the world through photos and words, and read in all the moments in nz-squadbetween. I have an overwhelming desire to see every corner of the world I possibly can, and hug the people I love in all those corners. I can't do make up to save myself, and you're more likely to find me buying matching stationary than matching clothes. My nerd hobbies include a new found love of the Avengers, reading YA, watching Game of Thrones, How I Met Your Mother, and every vlogger I can find, and being the last person on the music bandwagons. I have big plans for the rest of my life, including university, teaching, travelling, and having an army of puppies. I plan to blog every second of it!

  1. I wrote a lot (like, a LOT) on the Percy Jackson series. There must have been at least a twelve different alternate endings that I thought of, and at least ten more alternate universes (I was a total AU specialist 😛 ). I also wrote on the Marauders (and also a bit of Tonks/Lupin) but they were not nearly as much written as PJO.

      1. AUs were my speciality. I wrote them for PJO, for HP, for The Hunger Games… for basically every book that I read during that time. 😀 Even if I didn’t write them all down, they used to be preserved in my mind. Some of them still are. 🙂

  2. Oh, well, Harry Potter, duh! And also Legend! There must have been at the minimum, a hundred billion Legend fanfic by me in my journals! And don’t forget the Grisha series! I’ve written a lot so far…

I just visited your blog and dang! I gotta agree that that part of my life I just sort of wanted to throw out of my memories because NO ONE enjoys remembering liking Twilight.

See, Harry Potter is one of those books that will find a place in your heart and complete you as a person FOREVER, but Twilight is like a one-time thing. You only like it for a period of time before it is seriously overrated and–no offense, Stephenie Meyer–a stupid book series.

    1. I need to finish the Legend series! They must be good if you wrote that much 😛
I completely agree about Twilight! Harry Potter is forever, but it would have been better if we’d never gone through the Twilight phase… It could always be worse though, at least we realised how bad the series is 🙂
