I’m so far behind with my tags it’s not even funny. But I’m getting there! Thanks to Blackbird Talks Books for the nomination for this!
Here’s how it work:
- Thank the blogger who nominated you!
- Answer the 11 questions that the blogger gives you!
- Nominate 11 blogs that you think are deserving of the award that have less than 200 followers!
- Let the bloggers know you nominated them!
- Give them 11 questions to answer!
And here are my questions…
1) How did you discover the book-community, why did you decide to join, and when did you join the community?
It’s so frustrating, because I don’t remember! I know I was on Goodreads before I got a blog. I guess it was because I love to write, and I love to read, so putting those things together is the perfect combination. Plus, it’s a great way to get new book recommendations. Believe it or not, there was a time where I browsed library shelves because I didn’t have anything on my to-read list
2) What do you love most about the community, and why?
Like I said before, I love getting new book recommendations. And it’s great knowing that even if my real-life friends think I’m crazy for reading so much, I have a whole host of friends on here who love me for it
3) What is the shortest book you’ve read, and what is the longest book you’ve read?
According to Goodreads, the shortest is The Guard (64) and the longest is Outlander (896)
4) What format do you prefer: hardback, paperback or e-reader, and why?
I read all three, but paperback is my favourite. The best feeling in the world is snuggling down in bed with a good book and rain pouring on your roof. You can’t cuddle with a hard-cover as well, and an e-reader just doesn’t have the same feel as real pages
5) How many physical books do you own, and how many belong to your TBR?
Too many to count! Here are my shelves:
My TBR pile is separate, I think it has around 20 ish
6) What are your 5 favourite authors, and why?
J.K. Rowling because of Harry Potter, Marian Keyes because I’m yet to read a book of hers I didn’t love, Holly Black because she wrote my favourite book I’ve read this year, Malorie Blackman because she also makes me feel something, and Chris Higgins because she created my true love, Jem
7) What 5 books took you by surprise (they turned out different than what you expected)?
Outlander, because the beginning sucked. I Am Malala, because it impacted me way more than I was ready for. Harry Potter, because I didn’t realise a book could change my life. The Book Thief, because it’s way over hyped. And the Fault In Our Stars, because it usually takes a lot for me to cry in a book
8) What is you favourite and least favourite book, and why?
Favourite would have to be Harry Potter, because I’m yet to find a flaw in it. Least favourite Children of the Dust. We had to read it for school, and it was so depressing, and so badly written
9) What is your go-to genre, and what genre do you avoid reading, and why?
I don’t really have a go-to, it depends on my mood at the time. I avoid classics, because they generally have pretty dull plot lines
10) Did you ever judge a book only by its cover, and what book was it?
I do it way too much, actually! The most recent one I added to my TBR was Ephemeral
11) What is the most and least amount of money you’ve spend on 1 book, and was it worth it?
I’ve got books for as cheap as 50c at second hand sales, and that’s amazing even if they aren’t good books. I don’t spend a lot on books, I prefer to get them from the library. A decent new book would be around $40 though
So, there are my answers! They were difficult questions… Again, sorry for being such a bad procrastinator. Here are my questions for you:
- What’s your favourite feature of your blog?
- What book are you reading at the moment?
- What tv/movie universe do you wish you could live in?
- How do you mostly communicate with your friends (other than face-to-face)?
- What country do you most wish you could visit?
- Are your bookshelves organised?
- Are your real-life friends mostly readers or non-readers?
- What was the best part of your day today?
- Describe the weather outside in the most descriptive way you can
- What was the last photo you took of?
- What nicknames do you get called?
And the people I nominate are:
You listed a lot of interesting books! I am just sitting at my computer with my Amazon wishlist open adding books. Thanks!
I have heard mixed reviews about Outlander. Is it good enough to recommend to someone who doesn’t have the longest attention span?

Yay, I’m glad! 🙂 I loved Outlander, but it starts off so slowly. If you can get through the first part, you’ll love the rest. It’s just hard suffering at the beginning. I posted a review just the other day actually 🙂
