Not that I want to be. I miss the blogging universe, of course, but I wish I was still in Arizona. What I want to do now is tell you each and every thing I did for each and every day I was in America. However, that was for 5 weeks… Plus 5 weeks of my host sister Chloe staying with me. So instead, I’m going to tell you my highlights:
- The fourth of July party. We don’t celebrate it, so it was very cool seeing the intense way America celebrates. THIRTY FIVE MINUTES OF FIREWORKS. OH MY GOD
- Prom. I looked like a freaking goddess. I know I sound up myself, but I looked SO GOOD. I’m the one in the green-ish dress, and my host sister is the one in two piece
- Grand Canyon. I hiked 3 miles in, 3 miles out. Not that it felt like the same distance, up was A LOT harder
- Disneyland! How can you not love Disney? It was two days of heaven and happiness
- VEGAS. It’s literally just a giant party wherever you look. Unfortunately, I’m not old enough to do anything, but walking around everywhere was amazing anyway
- Tuscon. We watched a reenactment of a gun fight, it was awesome
- Driving. Everyone there can drive! Here, not many people our age can. My favourite modes of transport was the trap van (a van with only a driver’s seat), the back of the horse trailer, a convertible, the back of a truck, and the looooong bus rides
- South Mountain. It was an amazing view, and I was with my sister Chloe and her friends. It was so peaceful up there. I really wanted to write, but I didn’t bring pen and paper! I’m the one on the far left
- THE PEOPLE. Chloe, my host sister, was of course my favourite. Now that I’ve lived with her for ten weeks, she’s become my best friend, and I can trust with absolutely anything. Leaving her was the worst thing ever.
But, there were also a lot of other people. There were 9 other countries; France, Germany, Peru, Ecuador, Macedonia, Ireland, Mali, China and Team Sweden (I don’t know why they were a team…). I’ve made amazing friends from all of these places, plus all their host siblings in America. I honestly cannot imagine my life without them, I love them all to pieces. This is all 68 of us at the Grand Canyon
I want to keep going, but I’m sure you’re all crazy jealous. Plus, my Sister Cities wall is not complete! I still have loads of photos I want to add to make my wall a shrine to the amazing holiday I just had. So, again, I’m sorry I haven’t been blogging much in the last little while. I was too busy having the time of my life
Sounds like you had an amazing time! 🙂
