Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish. They tell us what to write our top ten for, and we do! This week…
TOP TEN BOOKS ON MY AUTUMN TBR
For the rest of you it’s spring, but over here on the other side of the world, it’s autumn. I’m not really a season reader, but this is what I plan to read:
Click on the title to be taken to the Goodreads page
- Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian by Rick Riordan. I‘ll hopefully be reading this very soon, since I finally got it from the library on Saturday. Then I can finish off this series, hooray!!
- Cross Stitch by Diana Gabaldon. Apparently Jamie is an angel on Earth. So, I’ll read this to a) see if that’s true and b) fangirl with my mum
- The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. It’s been sitting on my floor for months, just begging to be read. And I need that floor space!
- Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas. At the moment I’m reading the second book in the series, and falling in love with Celaena all over again. I haven’t even finished and I want to get my hands on book three!
- The Ruby Circle by Richelle Mead. Like I said before – FLOOR SPACE. Also, I have to know how their story ends, even if I can’t bear to let them go
- Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell. Okay, yes, it’s a re-read. But I need it for an assessment! Ha ha!
- The Second Summer of the Sisterhood by Ann Brashares. Hopefully by the time this posts I will have finished the Travelling Pants. And, again, it’s sitting on my floor, so I really better read it
- Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. I‘m pretty sure I’m the last person in the world to get around to reading this. I know, I’m terrible!
- Step by Step by June Francis. This is even worse than the others – this one is taking up precious book shelf room!! And has been for FOUR YEARS. Judging by Sinners and Shadows, the other book the friend gave me for my birthday, this will be terrible. But at least I’ll have space for new books
- Betrayal by Danielle Steel. I read the first chapter or so and hated it. But I can’t get rid of a book until I’ve read the entire thing, so I better try again
So, there’s what I plan on reading! How about the rest of you? Send me a link to your own TTT if you do them. And if you don’t, tell me which one of these I should most be looking forward to.
Also for those of you who a) regularly read my blog or b) read a lot of other Top Ten Tuesdays, please PLEASE help me! What do you think of mine? Should I be adding more pictures? Do I need my own banner? I do this every week if I can; it’s time to make it stand out! Let me know your thoughts 🙂
I personally like seeing pictures of the covers. 🙂 I think with just ten, you could easily get away with adding pictures of the covers and not cluttering things up.

Thanks for the advice 🙂 I’ll do that next week!

I think covers can look pretty in a Top Ten post. They’re often what draw me to the book! 🙂 I love Eleanor & Park. It’s one of my favourite Rainbow Rowell books! I hope you enjoy all of these books!

Is it strange being in a different season than everyone else? This may sound weird, but does that mean you celebrate Christmas in the summer? Wow!
I’ve found that by adding the covers of books to my posts it really livens things up and makes it more interesting. But honestly, you’re blog is great as it is!! 🙂

It’s really hard finding Christmas songs and stories that don’t talk about snow! It’s actually on my bucket list to have a white Christmas 😛 I never really found it strange until I started getting more online friends, and now you’re all the opposite
A lot of people have said that, so I’ll definitely be adding covers next week 🙂 You’re too kind 😛

Hi! Hitchhiker’s Guide To the Galaxy is on my eventual TBR list! The Da Vinci Code is a personal favorite; it’s incredibly fast paced and exciting! I also can’t wait to read Eleanor & Park! It’s been on my shelf for a while now! Happy reading! 🙂

I always add the Hitchhikers Guide to these sorts of posts, but I never get around to reading it… Yay, now I’m looking forward to the Da Vinci Code even more! 🙂

I like book covers for these type of posts — usually that helps draw me in and pay attention to books that I might not have heard of before. Do you mind one more piece of unsolicited input? I find pink really hard to read… but maybe it’s just me. 🙂
Jamie IS an angel on Earth, and I’m sure your mum will be thrilled if you read Cross Stitch so you can ooh and ahh with her! I loved Eleanor & Park, and The HItchhiker’s Guide is always a favorite (and I should probably read it again soon.)
Enjoy your autumn reading!

So many good books on this list! I love the Sisterhood series, as well as Eleanor and Park (a good reread does wonders) and I need to read the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy as well. Great list!

Nope, you aren’t the last one to read The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Just got the bind up for Christmas this past year.

I need to read both Hitchhiker’s Guide and Eleanor & Park. I loved Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, so I’m going to start reading some of her stuff. And I do tend to like book covers for this kind of thing…it makes it easier to find the book in question.
Great list.

It’s crazy I haven’t read Rainbow Rowell yet, but I’ve heard great things about her books! Also Richelle Mead’s one of my favorites so I should definitely get on to her Bloodlines series! Great Picks!
