If you were confused, the first letter of every question spells the words Inside Out. It took me a while, don’t worry 😛
Inside flap / Back of the book summaries: Too much info? Or not enough (Discuss)
There’s such a perfect balance for this, and I’m not sure I’ve ever found it. I hate books that give me spoilers. But sometimes books that just give you one or two lines are even worse. My absolute least favourite though? Books with no plot summary, just comments from publishers and other readers. THAT ISN’T HELPFUL
New book: What form do you want it in? Be honest: audio book, e-book, paperback, or hardcover?
Paperback! E-books don’t feel as nice, and hardbacks, while great to hit people with, aren’t nice to snuggle up with
Scribble while you read? Do you like to write in your books, taking notes, making comments, or do you keep your books clean clean clean? (Tell us why)
I hate scribbling in books! It’s blasphemy! Books are precious things, not to be ruined
In your best voice, read for us your favourite first sentence from a book.
You know, I could go and do a philosophical one for you, or I could do this one:
*clears throat* *reminds you of my fabulous Kiwi accent*
“Look, I didn’t want to be a half-blood.
If you’re reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is: close this book right now. Believe whatever lie your mom or dad told you about your birth, and try to lead a normal life.
Being a half-blood is dangerous. It’s scary. Most if the time, it gets you killed in painful, nasty ways.”
Does it matter to you whether the author is male or female when you’re deciding on a book? What if you’re unsure of the author’s gender?
I don’t consciously pick a particular gender, but I’ve recently found out that I subconsciously stick to women. It’s not on purpose, I swear! It just happens!
Ever read ahead? Or have you ever read the last page way before you got there?
Ha ha, what, no… Okay, quite a bit actually. Especially if the book isn’t that good, I read the last little bit to see if it’s going to get any better. My friend always reads the last word. It’s the first thing he does. What if you ruin it for yourself?!? He’s playing a dangerous game…
Organised bookshelves, or outrageous bookshelves?
To me they’re completely organised. I can tell you where every single book I own is. But to other people, they’d seem a little outrageous. For some reason even knowing every single book that’s on my floor doesn’t count as being organised…
Under oath: have you ever bought a book based on the cover (alone)?
Uh, yes! Sometimes books are too pretty to resist. Although, to be fair, I do read the blurb. But I’ll buy books I wouldn’t normally touch just because of the cover
Take it outside to read, or stay in?
I usually stay in, but I probably should go outside more. I get sunburned too easily, it’s not fun doing that!
So, there you go! Feel free to do the tag if you want. But, as part of my celebrating 100 followers, I tag the first 10 of my lovely WordPress followers:
And my random Bloglovin’ followers:
I hate it when a book only has comments from authors and reviewers on it! Great that you think it’s wonderful, but I’d like to know what it’s about???

I’ve definitely spoiled a book for myself before, and it sucks! I always look at how many pages there are in a book before I read it, and sometimes I accidentally catch a few words of the ending. I spoiled Looking for Alaska for myself big-time the first time I read it by doing this. Anyways, congrats on the 100 followers!! 😀

I wouldn’t have noticed the first letter thing either.
Ugh I agree with you totally on back of the book! If they had to error one way I’d say too little than too much.
Great opening sentence! Gotta love Percy Jackson!
That’s one thing that I like about ebooks. I don’t cheat and read ahead!
Thank you for tagging me! I haven’t done a tag in forever, but this one was fun!
