High School Musical Book Tag

I found this over at Books Over People. I’ve never done a book for each song tag like this, so I’m excited! Although I now have a mash-up of every Sharpay song going on in my head (because she’s clearly the best character). Okay, ready?

The Start of Something New – a new favourite genre/author/series

City of Bones, even though I’ve only read the first one. I NEED MORE. Or Percy Jackson, although I did read those sort of a while ago

What I’ve Been Looking For – a book that has everything you’ve always wanted

I’m such a picky reader, nothing is really perfect… Vampire Academy has the great, sassy main character, plus a gorgeous male character (Adrian), and magic, and the best friend relationship between Lissa and Rose. So even though I don’t adore the book compared to some other ones, it ticks all the boxes

Fabulous – a book with the biggest diva

Hmm… Maybe Ridley from Beautiful Creatures? I don’t know if I’d call her a diva, but she is fabulous and she knows it.

Status Quo – a stereotype defying character

This is a hard one, I kind of hate main characters, and the guys I love are all the same. Maybe Percy Jackson? He has flaws, and not flaws like “oh, let me run into danger without thinking!” Oh, and Hermione is cool too, she’s a female that’s great in her own right, not just for being like a man

Boys Are Back – the best bromance

Derek and Simon from the Summoning. They are brothers, but that’s okay!

What Time Is It? – best summer read

Any book by Marian Keyes. They’re light and funny, but still make me think a little.

Just Wanna be with you – a book you couldn’t put down

Sadie, it’s so heartbreaking/stressful/brilliant. And the Percy Jackson books, because I genuinely cared about the characters

Scream – a character that frustrated you

Anna from Anna and the French Kiss. UGH. SOMEONE GIVE ME A GUN, PLEASE.

High School Musical – your favourite fictional school

Is that even a question? Hogwarts, of course!

Humuhumunukuapua’a – the most ridiculous book/scene/character you have ever read

All those books where the love interest is awful, and the main character just forgives them, and they fall in love. Or any insta-love. Or love triangles. I could go on and on… I also hate ‘perfect’ characters, that can snap their fingers and demand whatever they want

Spring Musical Medley – the happiest ending ever

Recently, Sundae Girl was beautiful, and all awwww. And the Marian Keyes one written from the baby’s point of view! I can’t remember the name, which is annoying, but it was so adorable.
