Garnet Books

Why garnet, you ask? Because it’s January! And garnet is, for those of you who don’t know (like I didn’t) the birthstone for January. So, to celebrate the first month of the year, and as part of the Bookish Nerds Readathon, here’s 5 books that match the birthstone:

Bloodlines by Richelle Mead. I absolutely adored the first half of this series. And yes, this one fits the great category. I mean, ADRIAN. Need I say more?

Bloodlines

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. This one I didn’t love nearly as much. It was a rather disappointing end to the series. But still, it was a nice red on the cover

Catching Fire

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. This series was so awesome when I was a kid. I haven’t read it recently, I really should do that

Inkheart

Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. Technically the whole cover isn’t red… But red enough! I desperately need to read this series

Scarlet

Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan. I love love love this series. And yes, it’s red! Red enough to make the list 🙂

Battle of the Labyrinth

So there’s your 5 books to try and read in January! Or, you know, ever if you’re like me… Too many books, not enough time! Be sure to check out the the Readathon, and check back for more readathon posts.

I was a book blogger for a while, and I now blog about every little thing in life I can think of. Bear with me while I try all these new posts out... I'm a New Zealand teen who gets angry about the world (but not angry enough for tumblr). I like to capture the world through photos and words, and read in all the moments in nz-squadbetween. I have an overwhelming desire to see every corner of the world I possibly can, and hug the people I love in all those corners. I can't do make up to save myself, and you're more likely to find me buying matching stationary than matching clothes. My nerd hobbies include a new found love of the Avengers, reading YA, watching Game of Thrones, How I Met Your Mother, and every vlogger I can find, and being the last person on the music bandwagons. I have big plans for the rest of my life, including university, teaching, travelling, and having an army of puppies. I plan to blog every second of it!
