Goodreads Book Challenge

So, for those of you who don’t know, at the start of every year, Goodreads gives you the option to set yourself a challenge to see how many books you can read in a year. I set myself a goal of 70.

AND I’VE COMPLETED IT!

So, here’s my (long) list of all the books I’ve read to do the challenge this year:

 The Stand Outs

Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare. I had to read this for school, but it was just so far out of my comfort zone I’m still proud I read it

Long Walk to Freedom by Nelson Mandela. I think this is the longest book I’ve ever read. I mean, he was 90 when he died! And he did a lot of stuff! But I read it all, and it was so beautiful and inspiring

The Selection by Kiera Cass. This is one of the best books I’ve read all year. America was so awesome, and Maxon was perfect. I then binge read the trilogy and novellas

Two Brothers by Ben Elton. I love historical fiction, and this is one of the best war books I’ve ever read. There aren’t enough words to express how much I recommend it

Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead. I didn’t realise I’d only discovered the series this year! How did I ever survive without this much Adrian in my life?

I also delved into the popular books, something I often avoid. Perks of Being a Wallflower, Percy Jackson, Obsidian, Before I Fall… Am I a cool nerd now?

So there you go, my completed Goodreads challenge! How are you all going with yours? What do you think of my book choices? Are there any on there I haven’t reviewed that you want to know my thoughts on? Let me know!

Author:

I was a book blogger for a while, and I now blog about every little thing in life I can think of. Bear with me while I try all these new posts out... I'm a New Zealand teen who gets angry about the world (but not angry enough for tumblr). I like to capture the world through photos and words, and read in all the moments in nz-squadbetween. I have an overwhelming desire to see every corner of the world I possibly can, and hug the people I love in all those corners. I can't do make up to save myself, and you're more likely to find me buying matching stationary than matching clothes. My nerd hobbies include a new found love of the Avengers, reading YA, watching Game of Thrones, How I Met Your Mother, and every vlogger I can find, and being the last person on the music bandwagons. I have big plans for the rest of my life, including university, teaching, travelling, and having an army of puppies. I plan to blog every second of it!
